Amy Pauls
Before being drawn to the asana practice, Amy found deep breathing and meditation as a way to calm the mind and become centered in daily life, in order to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, assist in the creative process, as well as create space needed to process emotions. With a background in psychology and fine arts and an interest in preventative health and healing, yoga felt like a very natural way to move deeper into one's own being. Believing that with good alignment yoga really can unblock energy flow in the body and mind to just make us feel better as well as unleash one's desire to realize one's fullest, sometimes even hidden, potential, she is very enthusiastic and committed to teaching and connecting to others who want to learn and grow. Aligning with the divine is something she strives for daily. She strongly believes consistent dedication and practice can turn negative habits into positive ones, and allow more time for self-reflection, hopefully leading to fuller contentment over time, and in return putting more positive energy back into the world. She has much gratitude for all her teachers who have provided so much enlightenment, she is committed to passing on the inspiration to others. Balancing strengthening and flexibility, keeping good alignment, deepening the breath can do miraculous things to empower the mind, body, spirit.
