I began practicing yoga in 1999 and quickly discovered that I had happened into something very powerful.
In 2003, I attended my first teacher training and received my teaching certification from Ana Forrest.  In 2005 I attended the Moksha Yoga teacher training program, and in 2010, Yogaview’s Level 2 training program.  In addition, over the last several years I have completed several modules of Rod Stryker’s ParaYoga program. The study of yoga fascinates me and I continue to study with both local and world-renowned master teachers on an on-going basis.

My master's degree in education and my 20 years of teaching both on and off the mat allows me to make accessible some of the subtler aspects of yoga. My teaching style is a fusion of the various yoga disciplines I have studied, including Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar and ParaYoga.  While my asana practice is most influenced by these schools of yoga, I maintain the pillars of Forrest yoga: breath, strength, integrity and spirit, and place equal importance in finding a place for joy and laughter in the practice. Always a different sequence, my classes are challenging and generally rather sweaty, but are at the same time a safe haven for students of all abilities. Primarily, I teach vinyasa flow and hot yoga classes, but also teach prenatal yoga.  I live in Wilmette with my husband, 3 kids and way too many animals.
