Emily Robinson
Emily Robinson has studied yoga since 1999 when a friend suggested she take a yoga class to help her relax. She took her first class at a local gym and even though it was different than anything she had ever experienced it was exactly what she needed and changed her life. Within in the first few sessions of taking yoga she experienced a few of the many benefits of yoga: relaxation, body awareness and a better understanding of breath. Thats when she decided she wanted to share this awesome experience with the rest of the world. Emily took her first teacher training with Ana Forrest in 2001 and began teaching soon after. She infused the teachings of Ana Forrest and Paul Weitz whom she had studied with for a few years and created a nice balance of strength and heart. Over the years Emily has experienced many great teachers: Manju Jois, Lino Miele, Rod Stryker, Natasha Rizopoulos, Gary Kraftsow, Baron Baptiste, Tias Little, Shiva Rea, Seane Corn and many local teachers in Chicago. In 2007 Emily completed the Yogaview Teacher Training led by Quinn Kearney, Tom Quinn, Geri Bleier, Keith Bell and Claire Mark. Emily believes that you are your own Guru and that she is just a guide to show you that truth. Yoga to Emily is about learning more about who you are by bringing more awareness to your body, mind and spirit. She creates a safe and fun environment to explore the possibilities.
